Do you want to say goodbye to an unused page or delete your Facebook account because it’s not contributing anything to your Facebook marketing strategy? Although it may seem like a fairly simple task, getting rid of your Facebook account isn’t as easy as it seems. You have also great opportunity to get potential facebook likes through smmstore and boost your facebook account.

How to delete your Facebook account

Before making this big decision, it’s essential to ask yourself the following questions to be clear:  Do you want to disappear from Facebook forever? Or, on the contrary, would you like to take a temporary break from your personal profile?

We’ll tell you, first, how to delete your Facebook account and also how to deactivate your profile.

How to permanently delete your Facebook account

Want to say “goodbye” to your Facebook account? Well, the social network isn’t going to make it as easy as it seems, as it’s going to impose more conditions than a mortgage to keep you from jumping ship.

  • First of all, Facebook asks you to download a copy of all your information in case you ever regret it. It’s got you covered!
  • If you’ve already made up your mind, log in to your Facebook account and click here.  Once you’re in, click the blue button that says Delete my account.  Think carefully because there’s no going back
  • Once you have confirmed, your process will be complete

Sounds pretty easy, right? But it doesn’t end there, as you won’t be able to log into Facebook for 90 days, or this deletion will be reversed.

Why would you want to log back in?  Mainly because the social network doesn’t want you to leave, so once you’ve completed the process, Facebook will begin bombarding your inbox with emails.

How to deactivate Facebook account

You’ve made up your mind: you want to deactivate your profile instead of deleting your Facebook account to take a short or long vacation from this social network.

Now, what do you have to do?  Follow these steps and get started!

  • Click on your profile picture at the top of Facebook.
  • Choose the Settings & Privacy option and then Settings again.
  • Now click on Account Center  Account Settings  Personal Data
  •  Account Ownership and Control
  • Finally in Deactivation or Removal
  • As you see on the screen, choose ‘Delete account’ and confirm with Facebook.
  • Finally, Facebook will ask you for your password again  to ensure that it’s you and not someone else who wants to deactivate the profile in question. Once this is done, you’ll need to follow the steps Facebook provides below.

Differences between deleting and deactivating your Facebook profile

What’s the difference between deactivating and deleting an account on this social network? The difference is: If you deactivate your account…

  • You can reactivate your profile whenever you want.
  • Facebook users won’t be able to see your bio or search for you on the social network.
  • Some information you entered before deactivating it will remain, such as private messages.
  • Facebook will save your contact and friend information for you. This way, when you reactivate it, you won’t have to start from scratch.

Do you have a Facebook fan page and want to delete it?

Steps to delete your Facebook page

Let me guess… A while back, you created a Facebook page based on an idea you fell madly in love with. After a few months of posting, you made the drastic decision to shut it down because it didn’t turn out quite right.

So, what do you need to do to remove it from the map?  To put an end to your Facebook page, just take note of the following steps.

Delete your Facebook page from your computer

Before you begin deleting your Page, it’s important that you have full control over it.

Why? If you have another role, such as editor, analyst, or advertiser, among others, you won’t be able to follow the process I explain below. If you’re already an administrator, the steps you need to follow are very simple:

  • Tap your profile picture View all profiles and select the Page you want to delete. To do this, click on the Page’s profile picture.
  • Tap Settings & Privacy and then Settings.
  • Click on Privacy in the left menu, then on ‘Facebook Page Information’.
  • Click ‘View’ next to ‘Deactivation or Removal’.
  • Choose the ‘Delete page’ option and that’s it.

If you want to deactivate your Facebook page, just click the ‘Deactivate Page’ option.

When you want to reactivate it, go to your profile and click the tab in the top right corner of Facebook. Choose “Settings and Privacy Settings what if you regret taking this step?

Don’t worry, because if you change your mind, you’ll have 30 days to  cancel your Page deletion . Facebook is understanding and understands that this may have been a hasty decision.

So, think carefully before you jump in

To reactivate your Facebook page:

  • Before 30 days have passed, click on your profile picture on Facebook .
  • Go to Settings and Privacy and then Settings
  • In the left menu, click on Privacy and ‘Your Facebook Information
  • Tap ‘ View  next to Reactivation
  • Click on Reactivate

How do I delete it from my mobile?

To be able to make your page disappear from your mobile, you will need to have the Facebook Page Manager application installed on your smartphone .

Once you have it, you’ll just have to follow the same steps to delete the company page from your computer. Easy, right?

What happens if you permanently delete your Facebook account?

  • Your account deletion won’t be completed immediately. If you log in during this time, the deletion process will be canceled. If you want to say goodbye, do it right away
  • Once you delete your Facebook profile, you won’t be able to regain access to your account.
  • The process can take up to 90 days.  During this time, you will no longer be able to access your information on Facebook.
  • There are actions that will remain after you delete your account. For example, some of your friends may retain your private messages. Why? This happens because messages aren’t stored on your profile.
  • Copies of some materials, such as records, may remain in your database but may be stripped of personal identifiers.

Reasons for wanting to delete my Facebook profile

Before moving on to the tutorial on how to permanently delete your Facebook , it is interesting to consider whether this is really what you want:

Your page reach has decreased

If your analysis shows that your target audience is shifting to other platforms more relevant to your industry, maintaining an active Facebook profile may not be the best investment of your resources.

Focusing your efforts on platforms where your audience is most active can be more beneficial.

Changes in digital marketing strategy

If your digital marketing strategy has evolved and Facebook no longer aligns with your current goals, it might be reasonable to consider deleting your profile.

This is especially true if other platforms offer better tools or analytics to help you achieve your goals.

Resource management and ROI

Maintaining an active and attractive Facebook profile requires time, effort, and often financial investment.

If Facebook’s return on investment (ROI) isn’t satisfactory compared to other platforms, it might be a strategic decision to delete the profile to redistribute those resources more effectively.

Concerns about privacy and data security

Concerns about privacy and data security on Facebook can be a deal-breaker, especially if you handle sensitive customer information or if your brand focuses on confidentiality and security.

Changes to Facebook’s policies and algorithms

Constant changes to Facebook’s policies and algorithms can affect the visibility and reach of your posts.

If these changes result in a significant decrease in the effectiveness of your Facebook marketing, it may be time to reconsider your presence on the platform.

Brand reputation and alignment with values

If association with Facebook in any way contradicts your brand’s values or image, especially in the context of controversy or ethical issues, deleting your profile can be an important decision to maintain the integrity of your brand.

If you’re curious and you’re persuaded by one of the emails Facebook sends you, keep in mind that after 90 days, everything will be gone.

If I’ve left anything out, I’ll be waiting for you in the comments
